We are seeking a collaborative and bold Stage Manager on a Freelance basis for our upcoming production: Peter Pan - A BIG Musical Adventure 

We are looking for someone who can help to deliver a high quality and inspiring production for our participants and audiences.

The role requires an excellent communicator with a proactive approach and at least 5 years of experience working in the professional theatre industry, with the following essential criteria.

  • Strong understanding of stagecraft (props, set, backstage etiquette)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
  • Exceptional timekeeping and reliability
  • Clear communication skills, both with creative teams and young people
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude and ability to problem solve under pressure
  • Previous experience in a backstage or production role (professional level)
  • Experience working with children or young people

Mayflower Theatre is the largest theatre on the South Coast with 2,271 seats in the auditorium. The Theatre’s aim is to bring a diverse range of shows to Southampton. We present a mixture of spectacular touring productions, from musicals to dance, opera, drama, ballet and comedy.

Mayflower Studios is a cultural and community hub. We present family shows, dance, musicals, music, comedy, circus, cabaret, spoken word, and visual arts. We put participation at the heart of everything we do.
